Hi,

I am currently trying the upcoming Ubuntu 11.04 with it's new desktop
environment Unity (please do not turn this into a Unity vs Gnome
discussion). Opera has some serious problems on the Unity desktop. The
most difficult one is that the icon in the launcher suddenly dissapears or
is replaced with the Widget Manager icon. It's like Unity suddenly thinks
the widget manager is Opera. Anyone else tried Opera on Unity and
experienced this?

Wow... just ran a live Ubuntu 11.04 session and was highly impressed
with it. Can't wait to upgrade when it's stable!

But if my most used program, Opera, goes funky on it, i'll have to
consider installing it as secondary OS to test first... Problem is
that I don't have too much disk space left :(

If I get around to it, I'll report here with the results.

Just install another window manager/desktop. I use Fluxbox on all my
computers, including the netbook with Ubuntu 10.10 with Unity installed
but never used since I installed Flux.
