How many of you think that the new Gnome 3 UI guidelines map nicely to
the Opera Menu? The Application menu in Gnome 3, combined with the new
maximization behavior would be a great fit for Opera. Specifically, if
the titlebar disappeared when maximized and the Opera menu were the
Application menu instead of sitting where the tabs are placed instead,
how nice would that be!?

Not me -- I've never used any Gnome, and never will. (No idea why
you're asking, but that's still a data point: there are people who
have no relation at all to Gnome )

I was asking because Opera natively integrates into its desktop
environment, and it is one of the few browsers that does so for all the
major paradigms, including GTK, X11, KDE, and Gnome. I think that with
the release of Gnome 3 as a mature platform, Opear would do well to
integrate into the paradigm, and I happen to think that the way they use
the Opera menu maps really well to how Gnome 3 does things, so if an user
is running both Opera and Gnome 3, I think Opera should have app menu
style integration.

Ah, thanks. Your question makes sense in that context.
